#1 – Buffalo Chicken Dip
Buffalo chicken dip is a creamy concoction that pairs perfectly with tortilla chips, or any type of vegetable, like celery, carrots, or red bell pepper sticks. It’s quick, easy, and totally shareable for your pregame party.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 2 tsp. minced garlic
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- ½ cup Frank’s Original Red Hot Sauce
- 8 oz. softened block cream cheese
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup shredded American cheddar
- 2 tbsp. green onions
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Move the rack to the middle of the oven.
- In an 8-inch skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds. Add the chicken and hot sauce. Simmer for about two minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
- Reduce heat to low and mix in cream cheese until combined. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Pour it into a baking dish, and top with both cheeses.
- Bake for about 10 minutes, until the cheese has melted and the edges are bubbling. Broil for about a minute to brown the top.
- Garnish with green onions.
- Enjoy!
#2 – Jalapeño Poppers
These tasty jalapeño poppers are perfect if you’re looking to add a kick to your tailgate. They’re not only delicious, but also hassle-free and won’t make a mess of your modern apartment. Try dipping them in ranch dressing or tzatziki sauce.
What You’ll Need:
- 12 large jalapeño peppers
- 4 cut-up slices of bacon
- 8 oz. softened block cream cheese
- ½ tsp. garlic powder
- ¼ cup green onions
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp. melted butter
- ⅓ cup panko bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Move the rack to the top of the oven.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet for about 10 minutes, or until crispy.
- Meanwhile, slice jalpeño peppers in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and ribs.
- Add the cream cheese, garlic powder, green onions, and cheddar cheese to a medium mixing bowl.
- Remove the cooked bacon from the skillet, dice it up, and stir it into the bowl of the other ingredients. Mix until smooth.
- Spoon the filling into each jalapeño half, pressing it down to create a flat surface for the panko topping.
- Place the butter in a small bowl and melt in the microwave. Stir in panko. Sprinkle over each jalapeño half using your hands.
- Bake the jalapeño poppers uncovered for 20-25 minutes. Season with salt and pepper if needed.
- Once cooled, enjoy!
